The 25km Caloundra Coastal Walk between Golden Beach and Mooloolaba Beach is an excellent way to explore for first-time visitors to the area of those just wanting to stretch their legs.

Caloundra is about an hour and 20 minutes ' drive from Brisbane CBD and a 57-minute drive from Noosa Heads at the northernmost tip of the Sunshine Coast. Brisbane Airport is an hour away, and the Sunshine Coast Airport is nearby, just a 30-minute drive and offers a rand of domestic flights and connections. Caloundra itself also has a very small regional airport.

Getting Around Caloundra

There is an excellent bus service, making it easy to travel around the suburbs and surrounding areas by public transport, but there is no train station nearby. The nearest station connecting Caloundra to the Queensland rail network is Landsborough station, 21 km away. Buses to Landsborough Station run frequently; if you commute to Brisbane regularly, this should be considered.
